India – Day 2
Jul 07
Second day jet lag and slump set in today on me especially. We began our T4T training of church leaders. There were well over 100 leaders present. There are some Baptist churches in Bangalore because of work in the past especially work through the Baptist Hospital there. Our team did a great job. Cheri sang and that was a big hit. She and Ken shared about how God had saved them and their family (T4T) and the people were fixed upon them as they shared. Ben shared about the 4 calls of God to do evangelism. I preached and taught 3 or 4 times. I sat down after one sermon and Ramesh asked me to get back up and give them 20 more minutes (that’s a switch, Ha!). After 4 hours of training we went to eat at a “Sizzler” restaurant which was pretty good. After a brief rest in the apartment, we were off to another house church meeting at Mr. Prahabathar house. It was at his house that John C. and Don R. led our first Bania to Christ on our initial trip two years ago when we received our SC as a church training. They sang, Cheri sang, and I preached. They fed us Indian cuisine. Ken earned the name the iron stomach on this trip. I was struggling with the food on this night but ate since Mr. Prahabathar had said that this was the best Indian food. We got home late that night as the night before.
