India – Day 5
Jul 10
We traveled to the land that Ramesh has purchased for a future school of evangelism. We had a dedication time. We then made the return trip to the city (2 hours one way). The rest of the team was dropped off at the apartment and I accompanied Ramesh and Esther to a visa consultant. He is a very knowledgeable man concerning visa. He worked at the embassy for 29 years and has been consulting for the past 18 years. He gave some great advice and I think will give Ramesh the best shot at getting his visa after being turned down 4 times already. I got to share the Gospel with this 76 year old Hindu man after our meeting. We had a great visit and I challenged him to consider what I had shared and I told him that I hoped that he would trust in Christ as his personal Savior as God’s only way to heaven. I had the opportunity to share the difference with our faith and every other world religion. I asked if he had every heard that before and he said that he had not. I am now at Ramesh and Esther’s house where she, her sister, and brother-in-law are preparing an American supper for us. I will leave at 3 am in the morning for the airport on my return trip. The rest of the team will leave the next day. It has been an awesome trip and only heaven will tell the impact that it has had on all of us and on eternity. Our prayer is that in some way we may have encouraged our national brothers and sisters to join God in reaching India with the Gospel. We believe that it will take place through church planting movements in house churches. Looking forward to getting home.
