Quick Trip up North

I have made a quick trip to Rochester, Minnesota.  One of my brothers is having some surgery at Mayo Clinic tomorrow.  I certainly appreciate your prayers for him.  This seems like a great place to be if you have a medical need.  I wish my wife could have made the trip with me, but she could not.

I also received word that Kay Clark, R. E. Clark’s wife, the associational missionary where I serve died last night.  I certainly pray for my brother R. E.  He is a good, godly man who loves God, His people, and has faithfully served Him for years.  I had lunch with R. E. about two weeks ago.  He is a champion, but he is certainly hurting today.  I quoted a letter that R. E. sent out in a sermon on The Sufficiency of Grace.  I know that He will grant it and R. E. is receiving it.

Jesus Christ is Lord! The cry of the first century disciple is still the confession today of His followers.
